With the technological advancement of infrastructure within the 4th Industrial Revolution, we have seen that the need for digital content and curating content online are demanded.
Our Graphic Design 5 Months with 37 SAQA Credits aims to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Fundamentals of UI/UX, Design Thinking, Principles of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Effective Workplace Communication.
As a Graphic Design student you will have a number of practicals throughout the training period such as bringing together lines, color, shape, space, texture, typography, scale, dominance and emphasis, harmony and much more to create visually appealing and well-structured designs of which include the designing of advertisements, posters, pamphlets, logos, products and packaging. All of this work will give you a substantial portfolio to show off your talents to future employers.
Apart from Graphic Design, students will undertake Adobe Dreamweaver and WordPress to become competent as a Web Designer. Within the Web Design module, students will build interactive websites and online shops as part of their portfolio. Combining Graphic Design and Web Design will ensure that students are both academic and industry ready.
Apart from obtaining 37 SAQA Credits, students will undertake a Global Exam in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. This will result in students obtaining a dual certification.
